feeling down /:

currently 10DPO (i think) ... this month has been the worst out of the past 6-7 that we've been trying. it was a LONG cycle, currently on CD35 and AF isnt due until CD39. I have never had a cycle this long.

I am beginning to think something may be wrong. The cramping that I have been feeling over the past few days and at random times during my cycles in general isnt normal I dont think.

If we don't get a BFP this cycle, I'll make an appointment just to make sure everything is OK.

What could make my cycles longer? I used to have 30-33 day cycles consistantly - since I was a teen.

What I struggle with the most is that it was SO easy to conceive DC1, I feel jaded. I know, we are blessed with our first baby and even if we never have another ... that is more than some can ever experience ... but ...

I am beginning to look at things as if "we may never have another"

ugh, im just down Chat Icon likely PMS. sorry for the ramble.

sorry you are feeling this way Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
I have had a similar experience...currently on my 7th cycle. the first 5 were 31-33 days, last month was 38 days and this month looks like it will be just as long (if not longer) as i have not ovulated yet.
I dont think it means anything is wrong, its just our bodies making us crazy! it could just be stress or other things causing a delay.
That being said, i do have a obgyn appt next month (for my annual) and i do plan on speaking with her about the longer cycles.
try to stay positive

Re: feeling down /:

have you seen your OBGYn about this? From what my doctor told me, generally having such long cycles could be an indicator of PCOS, so it would be better to find out what is going on with your body than waiting it out so you have a plan of action.

Also, it could be you have a cyst in your ovaries that could be making your cycles longer, so I would reccoment asking for a sonogram at your doctor's as well.

Re: feeling down /:

The same thing is happening to me right now. I usually have 32-33 day cycles, and the past four months, my cycles have been so long! Last month, it was 39 days! (This month it was 37). I just think this happens to me every once in awhile, I didn't think of it as being a problem though. Chat Icon

My cycles have been longer too, I never knew about this though! I think I may have to give my OBGYN a call!

Re: feeling down /:

just wondering...have you confirmed that you ovulate? if you are charting your bbt and can confirm ovulation every month around the same time, i would think you do not have pcos.
i thought i may have had it too so last month i decided to chart (in addition to using the opks that i have been using the entire time) and it clearly confirmed that ovulation occurred. I am doing the same thing this month to be certain, but based on that, my longer cycles are not pcos related.

no, ive never temped but i always have a consistant 14d LP when tracking O with OPKS so I am pretty confident I O. I always get AF.

i doubt its PCOS, probably just stress but of course other things enter my mind and make me crazy. i will temp next month for sure. already purchased BBT.
