music in the deliver room?
While at LIJ for a birthing class the nurse told us we could pack an IPOD for the labor and delivery room. It got me thinking about what kind of music I would want. I am thinking of creating a play list of empowering, motivational songs. Songs with a beat that i know the words to and that I listen to when I am blue. What do you ladies think? Have you done this with your previous pregnancies? What music did you or would you have on hand?

Re: music in the deliver room?
I made an awesome playlist for my first pregnancy, and then left my ipod at home...boo. Mine was mostly Blink 182, Blue October, Linkin Park and Paramore, with a few others thrown in. Not sure everyone would find that music motivating though, lol.

I made an awesome playlist of house and 90's alternative. Then when I was in labor all I wanted on was my commute playlist, music to relax to. Lol. It's mostly r&b, goo goo dolls, mazzy star..

Re: music in the deliver room?
How does it work in the deliver room? I can't use my headphones can I? I don't have an I-pod, just a regular mp3 player. Do I need to make a CD? How does the music play?
