Anyone bringing music into the delivery room?
The nurse that did our childbirth class suggested I make a playlist of relaxing music and bring a CD into the delivery room (they have CD players). Anyone doing this? Any good song selections?

This post just reminded me of a TV show, Accidentally on Purpose. The character makes a music playlist for her delivery and when it comes time to push, the song she wants played is "Push it" by Salt N Pepper"
But anyway, anything classical always relaxes me.

Possibly. I just filled an iPod with 8.5 hours of my favorite songs. I'll probably listen to at while I'm home; hopefully I'll remember to pack it in the L&D bag!

I definitely want to! I forgot to ask on the tour if they have CD players. I guess I could always bring my Ipod and speakers.

I brought my ipod with me during the birth of my daughter. I was so not in the mood for music though, so it sat in my hospital bag until the next day.

When I was in labor with DS I had my I pod. I love music and I knew it could possibly help me focus or even distract me from the pain. 34 hours later it was a great decision it actually relaxed me at one point to sleeping.

I know north shore manhasset has a place to connect your ipod..lol Every time I tell my friends who have had babies about my "relaxing" Ideas they laugh at me..
I want to do music, and our lamaz coach said to bring one of those flameless flickering candle to relax you...and my friends just laugh saying I"ll be in too much pain to care...lol thanks friends!!
