portable air conditioner without window vent?
does such a thing exist? for example if you had one in a room with no window?

I don't think thats possible. All ACs that aren't liquid cooled need to vent the hot air somewhere.

A/C units generate much more heat than they cool, so they need to vent that excess heat somewhere. You need some way to vent that heat outside.

thanks.
there's some serious construction about to begin in on buildings where i live, and we will have to seal all windows and doors, and it is certain we will not be able to use our air conditioners either.
i was hoping there's some option with a portable unit but looks like we're in for some serious trouble with this construction

You can have one-way vents, so outside air can't get in, but when the portable A/C is on, it can force air out.
