another lovenox question sorry!
I am on mt third shot alternating sides. Was told to inject in love handle area on a slight angle for injection. Well the bruises are huge and dark already so now what do I do? Do you eventually inject into a bruise when you run out of area? Is that okay? Being this is day three and have mannnny more shots to so wondered how to inject in an already bruised area. Oh and I don't really feel the burning but the bruises are reallly tender. Is that normal too? Ty v much! Xoxo

I ice before and after. I found that when I ice after I do the shot for about 10 minutes I don't bruise. I use to have huge bruises that took forever to go away.

Ask the doc where else can u inject it. Dr b says entire abdomen and upper thigh. Some other docs also say bootie. Depends on the doc. For me, nothing stopped the bruising, not even ice but I would try to inject it around the bruises.gl

I didn't bruise all of the time. In the beginning I did and then it tapered off a lot and I would only bruise every so often.

I switched from stomach to upper thigh and found it much better. Even when I bruised they bruises were not as bad.

i found that if i just inject straight in/straight out no angles. Ice does work and I inject around my belly button. eventually I will probably have to inject in a B&Blue

Do not inject it in a bruise.You can inject it an fatty area...love handles...stomach (but not near belly button)..thigh..butt...back of arm.
For me my stomach bruised too much and hurt, so I would do love handles (alt sides) and butt towards the end because my love handles were tender after months and months.
When I was in the hospital after giving birth, they did it in the back of my arm and that didnt hurt at all.
AVOID injecting in bruised areas!
At first, I bruised more, now I rarely do.just tiny dots.

The bruising from Lovenox suxx, sorry.
I found that NOT pinching the skin helps a lot. I never iced the area, I would sit down and find a "fatty area" and just inject really slowly. It still stings and sometimes I get a small bruise where I inject but nothing as bad as you are describing.
I also use my entire tummy area, about an inch away from my belly button all the way to the love handles.
Good luck, it will get better.
