Re: North Wantagh
Jerusalem Ave is the dividing line between Wantagh SD and Levittown SD within Wantagh. So anything north of Jerusalem Ave is Levittown SD; south of Jerusalem Ave is Wantagh SD.
I know there is a "North Wantagh" town listing on MLS, but truthfully, no one uses it when they list a property. It's not really like North Bellmore or North Merrick.
Most of the north part of Wantagh (the part in Levittown SD) consist of Levitt homes (capes and Levitt ranches). There are some areas, such as Forest City, that are not Levitt homes, though. I think the neighborhood is very family friendly (lots of young couples with kiids, first time home buyers, etc.) and convenient to major roads and parkways.
As a realtor, I can't comment on the school district, but if you are in Wantagh with Levittown schools, you are zoned for Salk Middle School and MacArthur High School. People generally seem positive about those schools (I know people who both teach there and send there kids there). And people seem to LOVE the elementary schools (particularly Lee Rd and East Broadway). But I think that evaluation of school districts are very subjective. It really depends what you are looking for (special programs, academics, athletics, small classes, big classes, etc.) and where you are coming from, you know?
I am very familiar with Wantagh, and work in the next town over, so let me know if you have any specific questions or want to know about specific neighborhoods!

Re: North Wantagh
I'm in the T section of N. Wantagh just south of the SSP and just east of Wantagh Ave. No kids but the area is zoned for MacArthur/Salk. Not sure about the elementary school.
It's a very quiet neighborhood. Mostly Levitt homes.

Re: North Wantagh
Some of Wantagh extends till 24 (Hempstead Turnpike) Some of that area is also Island Trees SD. The MLS listing should list what SD it is-and you can call the school to confirm.

Re: North Wantagh
Actually, when you get up by Hempstead Turnpike, the addresses change to Levittown, but it is Island Trees SD.
Island Trees SD also pulls in from north Seaford and Bethpage, but not Wantagh.

Re: North Wantagh
I live in North Wantagh (never refer to it that way) right off the Seaford Oyster Bay. We hover around the T section but not one house is a Levitt. We live in a splanch & the houses behind us are mixes of false & colonials. I believe my section is known as the Gates or Oaks.
With that said, the neighborhood us extremely friendly & very family oriented. We are slated for Levittown schools with East Broadway being the elementary & Sally/MacArthur. I attended these schools and I'm extremely confident to send my kids there
