What's the deal with the blue dye HPT *pic added* UPDATE
they're not 100% accurate right?
I POAS this morning, and it came back with a very faint blue line
took another one about an hour later, and that same very faint line was still there.
I just took a digital, and it came back negative.
im trying not to get my hopes up again as I had a chemical back in march. Should I try the blue dye test again later, or just wait to take a digital in the morning?
eta: here's a picture. the bottom one was the digital that I cracked open and saw a very very faint line. can't see it in the picture, but it's there.
UPDATE: took a digital this morning, and it was . I bought some wondfo's yesterday through amazon, so i'm going to wait until those arrive. No use getting my hopes up for nothing

Digitals are much more sensitive. It takes longer for the BFP to show up..
Seems like a good sign....

You'll get used to the terms and lingo lol. I still don't really understand some things
A chemical pregnancy is a very very early miscarriage. I tested positive on several pregnancy tests, but when I went to the doctor, my beta number was under 10.
It really messed Up DH and I. So I'm really trying hard to not get my hopes up

I'm pretty sure it's the amount of HCG (the pregnancy hormone) you have in your system. The higher the number, the better. The number usually doubles every 2-3 days for the first few weeks of your pregnancy.

Not exactly sure what Beta stands for. But it measures the amount of pregnancy hormone in your system.

Sorry, Kris, very new to this - but what is a chemical?
Here is an explanation of a chemical
A chemical pregnancy is the clinical term used for a very early miscarriage. In many cases, the positive pregnancy test was achieved before the woman’s period was due but a miscarrige occured before a heartbeat was able to be seen on an ultrasound.
With the ultra sensitive pregnancy tests on the market today, it is easier than ever to get a positive result 3 or 4 days before your period is due. It is wonderful for those who NEED to know, but does have it’s down side. Early testing shows chemical pregnancies which would not have been detected had the woman waited for her period to arrive.
Chemical pregnancies are unfortunately very common. 50 to 60% of first pregnancies end in miscarriage very early in pregnancy. Most occur without the woman even knowing that she was pregnant.

Actually a digital is LESS sensitive and that's why it takes longer for it to show a positive when you're pregnant.
The more sensitive the test, the earlier it will detect pregnancy. Just wanted to point that out in case anyone was confused.

Blue dye tests are notorious for having an evaporation line that can make you think its positive......if you search on here you can read some of the stories

That's what I think it was
I took about 10 more tests, digital, FRER, cheapies and the blue dye tests. The only one with a faint line were the blue dye.
Ugh it's so disappointing and frustrating.
