So I made a deal with myself (HPT)

I have a procedure on Jan 21st. I am supposed to be put out (anesthesia) for the procedure. Obviously this would not be ideal if I were pg (so I keep telling myself). So, since AF is officially late (last month I marked only the day AF ended which was Dec 6th). Don’t really care how you do the math, I’m late.

So since I really don’t want to do the procedure (err invasive (?) to say the least) so much so that I’ve put this procedure off for nearly 3 years, I think pg would be a GREAT excuse to not do it. AGREE WITH ME HERE!

So, I hereby promise to do a HPT next week if AF doesn’t show.

I don’t know how you ladies are all so anxious to do them. I just figured out last night my biggest fear is BFN. So much I’d rather not know at all.

So you ladies need to be my support group as I hold my breath for a week. Hah!

AF = Finally getting my procedure done. Which is actually a good thing for my health in the long run.
No AF = well the obvious!

So good news either way, right?

I think that no matter what, you need to take a HPT before your procedure to make sure. With that said though, if still no AF & still - on the HPT & late, you would have to consult you Dr.

I am not sure of the procedure you are getting done but you say in the long run it will be good for your health. It will be a good idea to get it taken care of at the next moment possible.

I admire your restraint but have have to know if you are pg if you are getting a procedure. I agree with Kristin that if you do get a negative but af is still not here you should still mention it to the dr before the procedure. It could be a rare case where a positive does not show up on the urine test. Good Luck.

If you ARE pregnant you also want to know so you can adjust your behavior, ie: drinking, sushi etc. If you're not with your method you will have to do that anyway. GL

I called my doctor and told them I was running a bit late.

I was calling to order PreNatals Vits and thought they'd need an appt but nope, they called it in for me.

I explained the procedure I am planning and she agreed that as long as I test by Monday of next week she is ok with me doing it. But if I am still late, she would prefer I hold off.

She was ok with me not coming in for now since I am only a little late. She said for now it would be practically the same test I could buy myself.

So for now I guess I'm ok. I'll prolly buy a HPT on Thursday night.
