The Orange Glucose Drink ...
For my GD test yesterday I had the Orange drink.
When I took my first sip (expecting the worst, of course!), I decided it tastes just like Orange Triaminic!!!!!!!
DH laughed at me

I agree, it really wasn't as bad as everyone had been telling me. I wish I'd known to shake it up a bit though, it got very syrupy towards the end.

I didn't find it bad (I did it at 14wks pregnant last year) .. but was yours cold? Mine was warm and I feel like it would have been sooooooo much better chilled or on ice!!

They gave me the bottle of the drink the week before & told me to keep it in the fridge b/c it tastes better that way. I was told specifically NO ICE!
I was lucky I got to drink it at home & they took my blood at the office exactly an hour later.

I believe most people take it between 24 - 28 weeks.
I am 27 weeks and did it this week.

I am 26 weeks tomorrow and did mine today. I had the fruit punch and did not think it was bad either.

Because of my "advanced maternal age" I did the one-hour at 12 weeks and will do another one-hour this week at 26/27 weeks.

Its not bad if you only do it for the 1 hour because it just tastes like sweet, flat soda (so long as its cold).
BUT, when you have to do it for the 3 hour, its TWICE the sugar in the same amount of liquid. That's when I almost tossed it.

I've had the orange and the lemon-lime and I think they both taste like flat soda. It made me nauseous after I drank it but it wasn't bad.
