Just awesome - note to self

Chicken - OUT

That is the 2nd time this week Ive attempted to have chicken and it made me gag SO bad. The mere thought of it is making me sick to my stomach. This stinks bc its the only meat I eat.....I dont eat red meat, pork, seafood, etc.

Oh and my beloved balsamic vinegar....apparently pregnant me despises balsamic vinegar.

I am the same way with chicken... STILL at almost 25 weeks I want NO PART OF CHICKEN (unless it's in a McNugget... lol).

I was anti-balsamic vinaigrette in the beginning... chose red wine for the first time in FOREVER. But now I'm back to liking Balsamic again.

Re: Just awesome - note to self

LOVE chicken, but at 28 weeks I still can't eat homemade chicken. I can only eat it if it's from a restaurant or deli, and even then sometimes it's iffy.

OMG! Me too! The smell and touching it doesn't make me sick but the last few times I've had it it's always made me so sick afterwards and each time I swore the chicken was bad because it tasted horrible. So Chat Icon because I love chicken!

I read someplace that there are certain foods that can go bad quickly - chicken being one of them - and that some pregnant women tend to have an unconscious response to it. It's almost like you're body is repulsed by it because it knows it has the potential to be bad for the baby (salmonella, etc).

Re: Just awesome - note to self

Ugh...I had that with my pregnancy with DD.

This time, I'm okay with chicken, but I don't really like anything hot....so that leaves, um, not a whole lot since I can't have that many cold cuts and there is only so much chicken salad a girl can eat!!

Food aversions stink! Chat Icon
