Sorry I'm so late to this question. Things are CRAZY in my office right now.

Anyway, I'm so sure this question has been asked before, but I'm drawing a blank, so......

When you get pregnant, do you want to find out the sex? Are you and DH/SO in agreement about this?

We are 100% Both of us feel the same way and it was never a question for us. If we were blessed with a second or third DC we might switch it up.

It's a new question to me

DH and I will definitely be finding out the sex. I hate, HATE surprises and I don't think I could take "not knowing". Since it will be our first, knowing the sex can help us prepare with names, nursery etc.

I think being team is amazing! That would be such a wonderful surprise but unfortunately I have no self control

We will definitely be finding out. With my last pregnancy we found at at 16wks and I would do it the same next time around.

I honestly always "assumed" that we would find out. I'm an former event planner so I already had my ubber or ubber shower & nursery picked out.

Well...let...me..tell...you, DH put the (rrrrrrght) breaks on that!!!!

Yeah, he just out of the blue mentioned a few weeks ago that he is going to be loud & proud !!!!

So, I guess I will have to allow him to have some direct control over some aspect of our pregnancy.

If we are blessed, , w/more than one DC you better believe I'm not ever going to be again! We aren't even preggo yet and its already killing me that we won't know.

But it will be totally worth it!

I really want to be team . I love the idea of being surprised and having people guess the gender. I also want that moment when the dr. yells out the gender and then DH gets to announce it to the family. I know I will struggle with this though because I am also a big planner and not knowing will prob drive me insane

DH is 100% I'm 80% I think it's fun for it to be a surprise but I really want to paint the nursery pink or blue. That would be my only reason for finding out.

Definitely 100 million percent all the way! We were for our DC1 and it was the most awesome moment of surprise! DH would have rathered find out, but didn't feel that strongly about it and he knew I did so it want even an issue. This time, he's made it known a couple times already that he feel much more strongly about wanting to find out, but I have already told him mo way, no how. I feel badly about it, but it's just one amazing moment I can't be robbed of. After all the hard work of pushing the baby out, that moment almost adds like a bonus reward. Such an awesome thing.

we were with DS and it was AWESOME! My OB didnt yell its a boy or its a girl. She handed DS to me and said "meet Edward" (she had asked what our names were for When Im pg again, we will without a doubt be again! ). As for planning, Im SO type A, but heres the thing, you can plan just the same, except you buy neutral instead of pink or blue. You still get everything you need, you still get clothes and gear, etc. Plus, since you arent getting all gender specific stuff, you can use it for the next one if the sex is different. Just stuff to think about if you want to stay team .

Not to mention, since I was still being cleaned up, DH took the video camera out to the waiting room for the annoucement (since I wouldnt get to see everyones reaction ) and to hear him announce to everyone that its a boy, and the shock and excitement and surprise was the BEST!

My mom had a good thought, she said it is a surprise no matter when , and she said not knowing did not make labor any easier.

We are finding out this time. Didn't last time.

I really really wanted a girl-- and I think if I found out I was having one, I would have connected more to the pregnancy (I wasn't).

I think it will be fun to do it differently this time, but I think I will do something ceremonious around it-- like have the tech write it on a piece of paper, then wait til DH and I go out to dinner or something-- rather than finding out in the office. To still make it special.

Although-- when I pushed DD out and they said it was a girl-- I was so just so freakin happy to have that baby out of me-- I didn't feel the moment was that special. So in the end, not finding out for me did not give me that special moment I anticipated and I was not as connected to baby while pregnant.

We definitely wont find out. I want the surprise and I know the suspense will keep me, but I know it will be worth the wait.
