I don't find them so awful, just a little icky. Just shove them up as far as you can, and wear a pantyliner!

Re: anyone here on progesterone Suppositories?
ok heres what you need to do with those - put it in IMMEDIATELY before bed. lay down as soooooon as you put it in. wear a pantyliner. if you lay down for at least an hour or two after inserting, you shouldnt have totally bad discharge. the more you move the more it drips..
but honestly, you should ask you dr. for crinone. its a gel and its SOOOOOOOOO much better than supps and does the same thing.

omg i would seriously call dr. b tomorrow and get crinone. its SOOOO much better. occasionally insurances dont cover it which is why he starts with supps - but ask and find out cause its entirely less gross than supps. it comes with an applicator and has like 90% less drip factor than supps.

Re: anyone here on progesterone Suppositories?
Can I ask why you girls are using the suppositories? My doctor may put me on them if my progesterone level was low during my cycle. I had blood work done to check it but have not gotten the results back yet. Do all of you have low progesterone?

i can only speak for myself but yes i do..i had blood taken to see if i was about to ovulate..then after that confirmed i was about to surge i went back3 days later to have more blood and confirm ovulation which it did but also that my progesterone was low.
i was told i would not need them anymore if i got a bfp this cycle so im hoping cause they r gross

Re: anyone here on progesterone Suppositories?
They are gross but you get use to it! I was on them for 6 weeks when I was pregnant with my DD. Take them at night for sure and wear at least a pantiliner to bed because you will leak. On the plus side, they work so it's worth all the icky effort!

I also had blood taken when I surged on the OPK and then again 7 days later. My doctor said the same thing, they want to confirm ovulation and then see my progesterone level. I remember them saying something about a 10. I think that a 10 confirms ovulation? I don't know what number they will consider low? Is 10 low? I know if its low I will do suppositories every cycle afer ovulation in case I get pregnant. If it's not low I will re-do the test to check again.
How long did it take for your results?

Re: anyone here on progesterone Suppositories?
same day..i literally went in for blood at quest early tues morn and dr.b called me later that day..
i dont know if mine was sooner cause we were on timed intercourse and medicated cycle but she told me to begin the rogesterone right away starting that night
dont quote me bc im not sure but im pretty sure dr.B said to me anything over 5 means u ovulated..but that does not mean it is still not low just means u ovulated
mine was something like 8.2 or something which i think is low

Re: anyone here on progesterone Suppositories?
I took them with my last pregnancy, and am not doing it yet in the TTC process.
Buy the BIGGEST box of panty liners you can find.
And, expect a little spotting. My RE told me at the time, after I experienced some that sometimes the suppository irritates the cervix.
And seriously-- don't forget about those panty liners!!!
