shower drama
apprently my mother in law is mad that my mother and father are hosting my shower.
What the F is wrong with this lady, she has no money to help, but she can complain to her son that my mother did it all
Meanwhile she never called my mom to offer up her assistance, she just gets DH involved and then he is mad at me now because "its always about my mom"
Is it me or is this absurd?
I am sitting here 7 months pregnant steaming mad!!! Dh doesn't seem to understand stress is bad for the baby

Ugh I am sorry!  DH probably doesnt realize that he's causing you so much stress over this. I would try to explain your side calmly to him. And I would even point out that his mom didnt offer. Generally, in my experience, its the woman's side of the family that does things for the shower anyway....

Thanks, did all this already, he is siding with his mom because he doesn't like the way my mom "always does this"

What is your MIL so ****** about? Did she do anything for the shower? Did she expect it to all get handled at the last minute when she felt like it? Why wait until now to cause a fuss when she could have asked awhile ago about it?
I think your DH needs to realize that he should be thankful that your parents are being so generous and try and express that to his mom.
Let her moan and groan to him -- but be happy your family was so nice and enjoy your shower!

Wow this sounds just like my wedding/shower planning and I fear my baby shower too.
DH needs to realize that if she didn't offer any help she can NOT complain at all at least she got invited!
Try not to let it bother you or cause arguments between you and DH. Remember you are a team and there isn;t anything that either of you can do to change either mothers issues. Your MIL will have to calm down eventually and realize that you are having her grandchild and thats more important than a shower.
