OMG....THE LIGHT WORKED!!! I got my  today at CD 25, 9 days earlier than last month!!!!

Now I get to say "I told you so" to all my friends that were doubting Thomases : )

OK--the light. I was complaining that my cycles are so long and wanted to try and shorten them. Last month, I o'd on CD 34. MrsH2009 mentioned that she saw on pregnology something about sleeping with a 100watt lightbulb in your room. I did some research, and there was this study with women with long cycles. For CD 13-17, they had them sleep with a 100watt lamp at the foot of the bed. The study said the women O'd an average of 10 days earlier the following cycle. I decided I had nothing to lose (although all my friends and family told me I was nuts). And lo and behold, I o'd 9 days earlier this cycle! Maybe it was a coincidence, but who cares?! And for ladies with long cycles....you might want to give it a try!

Oh wow, that's crazy, I'm definitely going to try it. So just days 13-17 and can you put a lamp shade on or just the bulb by itself? Thanks so much for posting about this, I can't wait to see if it works.

Yep, I had a lampshade on mine. Just be careful--initially I was going to put a 100 watt bulb in my regular lamp, and DH caught me in time to explain that would cause a fire! You need to get a 100 watt lamp. DH got mine at Lowe's, I think.
Anyway, the study said it even worked when women put pillows over their heads to shade themselves! Ha! Obviously, I didn't do that.
Anyway, I've had crazy long cycles my whole life. If this thing really worked and it wasn't just a fluke, I wish I had found out about it years ago!
