What a waste of a digital test

So this morning I took a test(the line test) and I could of sworn I saw a very, very faint line. Of course I was extrememly excited so I took a digital test and it was a BFNChat Icon . I am due for AF any day now (should of been today) but again, FF said that I didnt even ovulate this month. Now im really depressed because apparently digital test are suppose to predict pregnancy up to 4 days prior to a missed period. Now that I got my BFN I feel like Im totally out. Am I right to think this? Also, when I tested with the digital I had to collect another urine cup since I threw out the first urine (FMU) when I tested with the line test. Do you think that could have affected the test?

Re: What a waste of a digital test

your period will be late since you ovulated late or didnt ovulate at all. it was a waste of a test since you aren't far enough post-ovulation to get a + test, especially since you cant confirm that even ovulated. also, it doesnt matter at all that the box says 4 days before a missed period, that is completely a meaningless marketing gimic.

truth is, if you didnt ovulate, you dont need to be testing, without the egg you cant get pregnant.

if you did ovulate JUST RECENTLY you need to wait AT LEAST 10 days after your assumed ovulation date before you test.

good luck.

I know. I just really have a feeling that FF is incorrect and that I did ovulate much earlier. I just really could of sworn I saw a really faint line on the cheaper test strips which I didnt see yesterday when I tested. It could of course just been my imagination. Chat Icon

Yes, this is prob. what I'll do but I wont use a digital unless there is an obvious clear line. I could be totally off on this but I figure the cheapy line test dont cost much so Im not losing too much $$$

But arent digital test more accurate then the line test? and by the line test I mean the ones you get like 20 for $10 on Amazon. Those are the ones Im using. Im thinking (if this by some miracle become a BFP) is that since I waited only waiting 45mins to test again that the urine wasnt as concentrated since I didnt wait a good amt of time in between the FMU and the next urine. Again, I could be totally wrong. But thanks for the sticky dust!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

You might have wasted a test , but it is NOT over until either a BFP or TBAF , and I hope its the first !!! I would forget about a faint line at this point , since you are unsure, I would wait a few days and test again
