in all sincerity, i hope when you do TTC you get your BFP right away, without all the hard work that goes into tracking ovulation and improving your chances. regardless of what you intellectually know about the process, i don't think you can make statements about obsessing until you've lived it. have you TTC? it's hard for a lot of women--even breaks up marriages that seemed to be on solid footing.
after 2 early m/c and 8 months of trying to figure out when i'm ovulating and having "time intercourse" my previous outlook of que sera sera has changed. i hope you never experience the circumstances that might cause yours to change as well. 
DH has this line that i love: those who make fewer declarative statements are less inclined to eat their words later.
You can be pissy with me all you want. I will not go into detail about my own TTC process and I am entitled to feel however I damn well please in regards to said process. Like I said, don't assume anything when you know NOTHING about me.

u r def right..u can post whatever u want..but i have to ask..why respond to this if u r not ttc now and as u said in the post before u deleted u do not plan to come on this board when u do??
and u have to understand where we r coming from..some of us have been on here for a while and all the support and questions and answers and gross and tmi as some of them are are reallly helpful..
so to us who are obsessed i say thanks cause without this board i dont think i would have gotten through some of my darker days

OP got deleted before I got to read but I was thinking the same thing If you don't plan on coming here once you are TTC then why post now and only to say I won't post here??

I'm not one to add to the fire... but I just have to speak my part here. I made my 7000th post this week. Is it because I'm obsessed? Yes... no ... maybe... But my high post count is not a result of my obsession- it's a result of all the endless support I receive on this board and I am wholeheartedly thankful for it.
I have been ttc for about a year total. In that time, I experienced a tragedy, which was the loss of my son at 17.5wks pregnant. These boards are an amazing mode of support.
Everyone experiences their own journey and I hope that nobody here ever NEEDS support from the ladies on these boards. I hope that you all get pregnant on the first try, have an uneventful pregnancy, and a baby that sleeps soundly through the night from day one. The truth is, somewhere along the line, we all get a little obsessed- because we need the support of the ladies on this board for one reason or another. When the help is needed, for whatever reason along the road, the help is there.
Everyone is entitled to post as much or as little as they want. Call me obsessed.. whatever. Ultimately these boards are invaluable to me.

This board is here for us to share our TTC experiences. In my case no one I know IRL knows I am TTC because I am a very private person. Very few people I know IRL know that I had a M/C at 2.5 months so I am also on this board to "obsess" about my feeling with other girls who have ben VERY unfortunate to experience this heartbreaking LOSS.
I also come on these boards to share my experience having surgery in the hospital due to the M/C with other girls who are "obsessing" over having the surgery because they dont know what to expect and if it will be painful.
Yes, we may post about CM, AF, lube, and the "s" word but TTC is not easy for some women and this board is a great place to ask questions about these private and embarrassing topics!!

edited because i was stupid to even engage this argument.
to the OP: i think it depends on what you're getting out of the board. if it's fueling your churning worries, then maybe you do need a break. if it offers support and a feeling that you're not alone, then i don't think the board is at the heart of the problem.
as far as my DH, he doesn't talk about this board specifically, but at times he's urged me to take some time off from thinking about it. we took a break from TTC completely in october because i needed to take the momentum out of it and come back refreshed, if that makes sense. it's still a challenge for me but DH and i def feel a little better this month.

my DH just basically mocks me.
if i know more about something than i probably should, he says "oh, did you learn this on LIF??" hahahahahah
or if there is a questions we dont know, he says "quick! go ask the girls on LIF!"
