Help me think of a good excuse not to drink
I am getting together with friends for dinner tihs weekend and we always get a bottle of wine to share.
I got my BFP this on Monday. What can I say about why I am not drinking that won't give me away instantly?

Say you are were sick and are still on antibiotics. Or say you are just getting over a cold and don't want to relapse or something.

I would take a glass of wine and just take a few small sips from it. If someone notices you aren't really drinking just say you have a little bit of a headache and wine always makes it worse.

i would either say you are going to be the designated driver for the night, that you are on antibiotics OR just drink something that looks like a mixed drink like club soda - i've done this when i am the designated driver and people are busting my chops about not drinking - or cranberry juice with a littler water

I agree take a small amouunt in glass and just take a sip.....maybe even walk away and pour some out

thats what i was thinking of doing for our next book club if i got a bfp... i was going to get some club soda and cranberry

I would probably put a glass in front of me and take a few sips and hopefully they won't notice that you didn't really even drink it!

I like the few sips thing...throw some ice in it if it is white so it looks like a lot more wine and you'll water it down so you won't feel bad if you take a few sips either. Enjoy dinner!
