when to take prenatals
We are planning on TTC next summer. I teach (obviously) and want to try to have a baby at the end of next year. I know nothing is ever set in stone, but we would like to start trying in June.
When should I start prenatals? any advice?

I had a similar situation- told my doc in april i want to start TTC in june/july and she gave me prescriptions for pre-natals then, so i started in april

You can really start any time. Most doctors say at least 3 months before you start TTC. I know a few girls who aren't even TTC that take them because they can make your hair and nails stronger.

We're not planning on trying til January, but I started them this past March. The baby fever got so unbearable that I had to do something related to baby making!

I was going to write the same exact thing. I started taking mine in April and didn't start ttc until July!

Yep. I think you can start whenever you want but my Dr. recommended starting 3mths prior to TTC but theres no harm in starting sooner than there. Remember, they are just vitamins.

DH & I aren't TTC till the new year but we both agreed that I would start prenatuals @ the beginning of Sept & go off BCP in mid Sept (after my next AF). I have been taking folic acid since May.
