So I got an invitation to DH's cousins THIRD baby shower today. She had her first child at 17 and had a shower. She has a 3 and half year old that she also had a shower for and now she's pregnant again and you guessed it, having another shower.
I'm not going that I've already decided, I just can't do that to myself. But should I send a gift?

does this chic really need to be having a 3rd shower? what the eff is up with that? I wouldn't go either, but I prob would send just a little something, nothing big at all. She should be embarrassed asking for all these gifts.

I've never been invited to a second baby shower. My friends don't have their first baby yet.
Personally I like buying gifts for others so I'd send a gift. I do know that a lot of girls on here hate the idea of baby showers/sprinkles for second and third babies.

ITA A small gift is ok.
I was invited to a "sprinkle" once for a girl who has a 3 yr old and was due with her 2nd. I didnt go because I was too busy and I didnt send a gift because it was a surprise so there was no registry.
I just got the couple an outfit when the baby was born.

Completly agree with this! It's ridiculous to have a 3rd shower! Some people have a lot of nerve!

How close is this cousin? If its someone you tend to see often at functions and holidays, then definitely send a little something. If not, I don't see why you should have to send anything.

I actually agree with this. . usually I'm in the "just send something camp" but really THREE showers is just not okay. .

3 showers for kids who are all in the same range of ages is just ridiculous!!
aren't you supposed to keep the stuff you used for the next baby??
I could see having a 2nd shower if perhaps you have an older kid and there's a huge age difference.
IDK, in my world multiple baby showers is rude. sorry.
I ALWAYS try to do the right thing. But this is a real toughy... I think you should not go.... don't send a gift and then give a gift when the baby is born.
If you are super close to this cousin then send a gift. But this would probably irk me to do.

I feel like you should have one- and one only....if its like YEARSSS later I can see maybe but the girl has a 3 year old.
