Re: QOTD - Tuesday
My grandparents lived in Farmingdale, just 10 min. or so from where I lived and my aunt and cousins lived upstairs in their house. Because they were so close we spent most of the summer at my Grandparents house hanging out, swimming in the pool, having BBQ's, having sleepovers with my cousins, and just having a great time with my family. Summers at my Grandma's house are some of the best memories I have as a kid. It was just so awesome. My Grandpa was the BEST and he always spent so much time playing with us. It was just such good times. I miss it!!

I went to camp and we had a pool so everyone always came over to hang out, bbq, etc. I always loved summer as a kid and still love it as an adult!!

Re: QOTD - Tuesday
I spent most of the summer when I was a kid at Rockaway beach. My family and my aunt and uncle and cousins and grandma would all go. We'd pack coolers full of sandwiches and fruit and spend ALL day there. I remember swimming for hours, trying to "dig to China", building sandcastles with my aunt and searching for sand crabs.

Re: QOTD - Tuesday
Growing up my parents had a house in Ocean City, MD, they have since sold out and now have a house in Bethany Beach, DE. Anyway, I spent most of my summer down the beach. I grew up lying on the sand, playing skeeball and riding the rides. I also went away to camp for a week in northern MD. When we weren't away, and were back home in Baltimore, we were members at the National Aquarium and Baltimore Zoo, so many days were spent there. The summer was always so special to me. I was an only child for 12 years and my mom didn't work, so my dad saved up all his vacay time for the summer and we just had fun together. I'm a teacher, and we live in a beach town, so I'm looking forward to the summer with my as well, but summer is DH's busy season so we'll have to work it out.
