Vacation and TTC
We are planning to go away for our anniversary and I was wondering, is it still worth it to go to an all inclusive resort if i am not drinking?

hmmmm i would say it depends where you are going - but you still need to drink non alcoholic and that will save you money

Why wouldn't you be drinking?
I should have specified that I would not be drinking alcohol.

Re: Vacation and TTC
Besides drinking, you get every meal when it's all inclusive, that right there is worth it to me!

Re: Vacation and TTC
I'd probably go and drink.
so long as i wasn't pregnant.
But what about food. will you eat? then it should be worth it. I imagine a lot of people go to all inclusive places that don't drink.

Re: Vacation and TTC
If I wasn't drinking, for me I wouldn't go but that's just b/c if all there is to do is lay around and drink I'd want to drink. Like if there was a reason I couldn't drink (I was pg) I'd want to. BUT, If you're not a big drinker and wouldn't drink anyway, then I'd go.

You aren't going to be drinking because of TTC or just because you don't drink alcohol normally?
If it is because of TTC, I would say don't not drink because of that. Obviously if you were pregnant, you wouldn't drink but until then, it's fine.
If you normally don't drink, I think that there are still plenty of benefits of an all-inclusive to make it worth your while. It is great not having to think about money while on vacation. You get to take advantage of the activities and food which is also included. Either way, I say go for it!

Re: Vacation and TTC
Yeah financially prob doesnt make that much of a difference but i sure feel like I'd want to drink if I was at a warm, tropical place and drinks were um FREEEEE . . . I think if you like the all inclusive and not having to worry at all about finding places to eat etc, it's def still the way to go but if you would just as soon explore - skip it!

Re: Vacation and TTC
We go to all-inclusives all the time and I barely ever drink. It's still worth it to me because I like the convenience of not having to carry a lot of cash or using credit cards internationally, etc. DH drinks plenty for both of us while we're there. Plus all of the food and other drinks are included, as well as activities.
In fact, we're going to an all-inclusive in Jamaica in September.
