I am in love with a new girls name!
I have had 2 girls names picked out for years. My first choice is still my first but I think I have a new second favorite. I am adoring Sophia! Dh loves it too!
Ok, just had to share with my peeps!
PS- the name that has been replaced was Belladonna and my number one name is Gianna.

Gianna and Sophia are beautiful names! I love names like that, that are very traditional but not super-common.

Sophia is my sister's name Are you Greek, by the way? Sophia means "wisdom" in Greek. Both Sophia and Gianna are Greek names.

Sophia is SOOOO pretty! I remember one of my teachers in HS named his baby Sophia, and I thought "why isn't that a more popular name, that's adorable!" Like 7 years later, low and behold, it's up there on the top baby names list!

Actually, Gianna is an Italian name. I always thought Sophia was too...didn't realize it was Greek. Sophia is on my list too. They are both very pretty names!

I turns out that Gianna is really a Hebrew name and it means "God is gracious." But of course many countries have adapted the Hebrew names in their cultures

No not Greek lol, Puerto Rican and Irish. And DH is Italian!

But DH isn't crazy about it...he likes Emily instead (which I'm not opposed to either). But I Sophia!

I love that everyone likes the name!
Funny story, I pick up my best friends little cousin from pre-school 2 days a week and today as I was walking up to the school there was a mother calling her younger daughter who was playing, and you guessed it her name was Sophia! It sounded so pretty!
