Vitamin B6

Is anyone taking vitamin B6 to lengthen their luteal phase? If so, when do you take it? I'm already taking a multi-vitamin and folic acid and I don't want to be on vitamin overload!

Re: Vitamin B6

I have self diagnosed LPD.

This would be my second cycle taking b6. My current lp is about 10 days.

So far, I have seen no change.

After reading that my 200 mg dosage may be considered high, I am now breaking the pills in half.

I take the half pills with my prenatal in the morning.

B vitamins are best taken when in a complex. the body processes them better. also, consider one with a controlled release. I personally like the Trader Joe's B complex.

Re: Vitamin B6

I take a B complex with 100 mg of B6. I take it every night before bed throughout my entire cycle.

I took it the last time I got PG and my luteal phase didn't suddenly get longer. It took a few cycles and I was trying different things. My lp went from 7 days to 10 days and then I got the BF+. But I was also using Natural Progesterone cream and acupuncture so its hard to pinpoint what actually worked.

ITA--I've read you should supplement all the B vitamins to help the body better absorb the B6. I took a B-100.
