Help me speculate on what the doctor saw.....
So, I was at the doctor yesterday (I'm 16 and a half weeks now) and she gave me a quick sono. She asked if the techs at my Ultrascreen had been able to tell the sex of the baby. I told her no, but I would love to know. So, she looks at the sono and says, "Well, I have a pretty good idea, but...I don't want to say anything because sometimes the scrotum hasn't fully descended at this point." She looked back at the screen and said, "Yeah, I'm pretty sure, but let's wait a little bit."
So I'm thinking she's thinking  because she didn't see the boy parts (hence the "we can't be sure b/c maybe the scrotum just hasn't descended"). But maybe she saw what kind of looked like boy parts -- but not the scrotum.  What do you think?
I've thought from the beginning, but I'll have to wait until June 20 for my sono to know for sure.

I would totally interpret that as she thinks it's a boy. We went for our level 2 yesterday and the sono tech said that it's definitely a boy, but the "boys" haven't descended yet.

I would assume she meant but she can't tell since the scrotum may not have fully descended yet.

This is what I thought, too. DH will be thrilled with the other interpretation, though. Guess I'll just have to wait until June 20.

I know, it's driving me nuts now. But, I am glad she didn't say since she couldn't be sure. I would hate to hear one thing, then find out a few weeks later we were wrong. I think I would get attached to the idea of either or .

I would think she meant becuase she implied that she didn't see any scrotum and it may not have decended.

I am so excited for you!! I think it's probably a , by what she said!! plus, that is what you thought you could be having!! We keep trying to guess what we are having!!Somedays we call it "he", other days "she"!!..lol
