Control
I don't consider myself to be a control "freak", but, I do like to know what is going on when, etc. Whenever dh & I do something, we both need to be in a bit of control and know exactly what is going on (planning the wedding, anything with our house...).
So, my question is, does anyone else get a little stressed out about being so NOT in control with TTC? I have a friend who got pg their 1st month trying, and it was just cause the bd'd once, but she had planned the entire thing. Sometimes the lack of control with TTC is a bit unnerving...just wondering if I'm the only one!

It absolutely drives me insane! I've been doing acupuncture to help with some fertility issues I have and my doctor has been adding some extra points to try and help me relax and not be as anxious. It has definitely been working. It's worth a try. Her practice actually sponsers this board and she is a doll!

Um yeah, I can't accept a lack of control at all. DH is the opposite. We are TTCing starting in August and I'm already temping and monitoring CM. I've literally written a month by month plan leading up to August. It's not romantic at all, but it makes me feel productive while I'm waiting. BUT, on the flip side I think I am going to force myself, at least try, to remain  to relinquish some control during the pregnancy.

This is the part of TTC that I HATED!!!!!!!!!!!! I am such a planner .... I hated the anticipation that would build up during a cycle just to be let down. I hated not knowing. I found the unknown was worse than a BFN.

I totally agree!!! I hate not being in control and being able to plan everything!! I'm learning to deal but I also find the unknown worse...so I always cave and test!

you are 100% not alone....i try to plan everything! it stinks that there's such a window to a BFP and there's not much that can be done about it....i'm doing my best to stay postive and take it slow...sorta diving into the other things that i can control....hobbies, gatherings, house, etc.

Thanks so much ladies!!! It makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one...
It sometimes really amazes me how much TTC can mess with your mind, and stress you out in ways you never even imagined...I'm TRYING to not be obsessive about it all and just go with the flow, but it's so hard...

I am the same way...and it suucks that I was thrown off last month and missed a period! Now I dont even know when I am supposed to O so ive been just monitoring CM and  whenever.
I was telling DH that its not fair that we planned when we got engagement/married, we planned when we bought our home, but we cannot plan when we will be blessed with a LO
