ANyone have an AMAZING OB GYN?
I am considering changing after all the posts I read. I live in Holbrook. Is it still okay to change so early? What would I have to do make another 1st appt?

Dr Bakshi is my favorite.. makes you feel so comfortable! Just so you know, your first appt they will go over EVERYTHING with you, things to do, not to do, I was talking to him for at least 15 minutes the first time.

My doctor is also great. My mom and aunt have been going to him for over 20 years. He is probably a bit far from you. He is in North Babylon now, and is associated with Good Samaritan.

Yes. I had such a wonderful experience at that hospital as well. Maternity ward is gorgeous. Also, that group has morning, afternoon, and evening hours M-F I believe so they are very accomodating.

Depends on what your needs are. My OB, Dr. Escamilla out of St. Catherine's has been amazing for me. She truly helped me heal medically and partly emotionally from some truly tramatic OB events. She understood just from reading the lies in my file and said, "You must have felt so voliated"..she just knew!
I had to have surgery and she really helped me through it.

I go to Dr. O'keefe...there are a few other dr.s in the practice who are WONDERFUL.
They are in Setauket

I just went to Dr Blyzsak in Stony Brook (on Nesconset Hwy in Stony Brook Medical Park). The other Dr is Dr Arato. It was a pain to get to my old OB's office (he was over by St Charles hospital) and Dr Blyzsak's office is right around the corner from my house.
They are both so nice. My old OB was off the weekend I had to have an emergency c-section and Dr Blyzsak comes in to me as a total stranger and made me and DH feel so comfortable. He called me the next day to see how I was and he also called the NICU to see how Hayley was doing. Dr Arato came in to check my incision one day too. My own OB didn't even come to the hospital to check me out. (another reason I switched)

Hi Diane,
I see you go to Dr. O'keefe? I have been looking to change ob/gyn, and trying to find someone on the north shore, he happens to be in my area. I just started TTC and looking for an OB/GYN preferbly high risk. I would love to go to an ob/gyn where I know someone has had good experiences. Do you like his whole group as well??
Does anyone else has a doctor they love from Mather, St Charles or Stony Brook area?
Has anyone been to the Stony Brook High Risk group?
