What can I expect at the nuchal ultrasound?
I know the full bladder is excruciating - THAT I remember
Will they take my blood there?
Can I expect to get the results when I'm there or will I have to wait? I'm having it done at a fetal diagnostic center associated with the hospital I'll be delivering at.. and my first appointment with my new ob/gyn is on Wednesday. Will I have to wait until then?

Re: What can I expect at the nuchal ultrasound?
i didn't have to have a full bladder, the tech had me void my bladder before i laid down on the table...the 12 week was my first external u/s too!
Every doc is different, but ours, we were told if there was no news, it was good news.... I do have to ask what my numbers were like though...

I didn't have to have a full bladder.
If you haven't done the bloodwork portion of the test yet, then you can expect blood to be taken today. Except it's not like a regular blood draw. It's a finger prick.
My OB had me do the finger prick portion about 2 weeks before at home and I had to mail in the sample to the lab. The sono place I go, had the results from the bloodwork already there when I had my appointment, so I had the results immediately after.
I assume if they do the blood there today, then you may have to wait about a week for the full results.

They made me empty my bladder in a cup right before they took me in.
