What to expect: nuchal translucency (10-13wks)
Is this internal or will I finally have an external sonogram.
I am also having 1st trimenster sonogram/dating.
Hopefully the preisac is completely gone and I can finally be off high risk!

I can't remember  I think mine was external, though, because DH was in the room with me and I remember going to pull my pants all the way down and the tech stopped me.

this was an external sono for me. be prepared for your little one to actually look ilke a baby!

we had an internal at 8 weeks, and I am expecting the 12 week one to be external. I am hoping it is the one with the cool pictures!

Mine was both internal and external. It was done by Madonna AT my MD's office.

I had mine last week at Perinatal and it was external...DH loved this sonogram because he was able to see the baby move and stretch.

You probably didn't have a NT at 8wks - just a regular sono, rt?

Mine was external too. It gets a little uncomfortable if you have a full bladder and they keep pressing on it for 20 minutes! I was trying not to pee on myself!

Mine was external only and they told me I didn't need a full bladder although I read that I would. the pic we got was great and actually looks like a baby. It was clearer than the internal at my reg doctor but definitely not as good as Alexlynn7's pic!

Mine was at 12 weeks, 3 days and was external. I was excited because that was my first external sonogram, but I found it more uncomfortable because I felt he was pressing on my belly too hard.
