What will the hospital provide during & after delivery?
I am packing my bag and have read that some of the things BTDT moms packed and never used.. ie, maxi pads, underwear (they give you disposable ones?)
What else will hospital provide for me and DD? Should I bring bottles and binkies?
I will be delivering at Winthrop.

I did bring underwear. I bought 2 packs before hand and just got rid of them after I was done bleeding so much. I did not like the disposable ones at all You def don't need pads. And binkies and bottles are provided as well as clothes for DC. Also soap etc for DC.

Don't know about us, but anything the baby needs the hospital will provide.

Definately bring your own undies- the disposable ones stink
But they will give you maxi-pads and I like them better than the ones you can buy yourself. They didn't rub as much
I would bring anything you want for your own shower- soap, hair dryer, towels etc. They will provide the soap and stuff but not as nice as your own. They didn't have a hair dryer either.
One thing I brought that I used A LOT is a can of lysol. They only clean the bathrooms once a day and you bleed a lot. This made me feel better and I was in a private room. I can only imagine if I was in a shared room- I would have probably used the whole can.

I honestly don't care if I 'over pack' - I'm planning to pack anything and everything I think would make me comfortable, and whatever I don't use will just stay in the corner in the suitcase........
A lot of people hate those disposable underwear, so I was going to buy cheapie hanes 4 packs or something that would be comfortable, but I could just toss if they got ruined.

Never heard of the disposable underwear but I wouldn't pack the best one. I would pack extra socks (the delivery can be very messy to say the least)
They provide the pads & a gown.
For the baby, they provide blankets, onesies, diapers, formula & bottles (if necessary).
