In the past 24 hrs....
4 people have asked me when do I plan on having a baby. It is getting very annoying and obnoxious. I am ready to scream I had a MC in December so leave me alone. But feel this is no ones business but my own. I am sooo annoyed!

i know its horrible.... when people do that to me i tell them i was prego and lost it.. the look on their face is priceless ... maybe they will learn to mind thier business !!

after i lost my baby, all i get is.. "when are you trying again" like its sooooooooooooo easy to make a baby ..
i just want to cry when i hear those words, its nobody's business but our's

I'm tired of the questions too. Yes, I know I'm 30 & I'm not getting any younger, but in this day & age I hardly think that I need to panic yet. Thanks for your "concern."

You should just tell people..."that is a very personal question and I do not feel like talking about it."
I have said it....It is harsh but people get it.
I am turning 30 too...but people need to understand...it is not the way it used to be. I was looking and the average age here looks to be about 30ish. It is silly that people expect that you should have a baby by now.

and thats why i also started that thread about the age of everyone!! just so you know that alot of us are 30 or more!!
people dont seem to realize that its not old!!

30 and more I know! I think it is great...
So shoot me ...... If I decided to get my masters degree, have a career, buy a home, be married for a few years first, travel, enjoy my time with just my husband etc.
We did not want to have a baby right away, our personal choice and it has worked for us!
So anyone who mentions that I am almost 30 w/o a baby....poo hoo!

I am getting pretty tired of hearing it, too. Especially at family functions. Luckily, we moved OOS, so I only have to hear it a few times a year, but when I do it's from about 20 people in the span of a few hours!

I told someone that and she got on my case that I should go further etc. hey,I got preg, I will get preg again- if I have to go that route, I will in my own time and it is none of her business, only the people I want to share it with.
people annoy me so much!

I agree. I got a masters degree, took care of 2 sick parents who have passed away, bought the house I grew up in etc. I needed the time to be a couple-I never go to do things that I wanted to in my 20's.I am married 4 yrs. I did not run out to get married very young, wanted to be grounded etc.

I get that all the time. We will be married 3 years next month. My MIL just asked me. I honestly do not know what makes people think they can just ask this question.

I've been getting the same questions constantly....I now just say when it happens it happens and change the subject...but what really annoyed me is that a family friend pretty much attacked my mother saying that I should have a baby already and why don't I...my mom, being the awesome lady she is, told him off and said that when we get pregnant we get pregnant...people have some nerve...and the best thing is that if you were to ask them something, everything is a big secret...sorry just a little vent!

My MIL has a tendency to ask this question when in front of a group of other family members... which is something that drives me and my DH crazy! Some of the family will tell her to leave us alone (we've only been married a year and a half or so) and when we're ready... it'll happen.
I've responded in a number of different ways - some more colorful than the next (ex. The next time we try, I'll make sure to save you a seat at the foot of the bed with a miner's cap so you can make sure he get's it "right"!  ... After a while I noticed that my "responses" weren't getting through to her... so, I chose to take the more "mature" route and sat her down and explained the situation and our failed attempts... her response...
"Well if YOUR eggs are bad, I'll just give you some of mine to make the baby..."
Seriously... who would say something like that!? After that incident... my DH and I laugh about how "tonta" (dumb) his mother really is and have now decided to ignore her completely when that question comes about...
sorry, I'm a Spanish teacher, and for some reason it doesn't sound as mean when I say bad things about her in Spanish

It's hard enough hearing those questions when you're just trying...it's even worse when you've had a MC.
I'm so very sorry. People really just don't think at all.
