Need Advice-sorry so long

So I will start off by saying I am a lurker, i feel connected already but not the creepy kind-lol- all of you ladies are amazing. My prob is DH is 27 as am I and we have been "playing russion roulette" for two years and have gotten nothing, no almost/pos positives...NOTHING.
I need to know if you guys think we should go see a specialist, we havent gone into detail with one another but every month is heart wrenching for me as well as him- i think we are both as ready as we can be but when do u know its time to graduate to a specialist....

Another quest (which IM suure has been asked....how did u know ur ready...a quicksummary of my l;ife, i go to school full time, dh own his own business and we barealy see each other because our firt "daughter" is goin theough chemoherapy weekly, the youngest goes with DH everyday to worrk, I have one I have to take to chemo n Westbury every week, so i am under constatnt stresses pluss we are try to sell our home and HOPEFULLY FIND A PLACE IN SAYVILLE!! pleassse....any advice or what our next step shpould be would be would help....we also plan on moving out of this home to a better neighborhood, a neighborhood who bulls- I know I am not asking for the world, but I am more then open to anyonerd advice, thank you so much, in the end alll I want is a baby, as does dear husband....is the timing ever rght?......is there ev er a good time, we willbe nervous no matter what right....

We llok at our dogs chemo with the foolowing approach...she is our first and we will fight to the death for her, but if i get pregangant does that mean we are no longer fighting fir her... PLeawse be open and honest with me, even if I dint agree with it I appreciate

First off, I am sorry to hear about your fur babies...I can't imagine if one of my cats had to receive chemo every week! You already are such a good mommy!


As for your other questions, DH and I knew that we were ready after being together for a long time and having plenty of "us" time. We were together for 8 1/2 years before marrying exactly a year ago! So we've been together for 9 1/2 years, living together for 4. We are now both 30 years old. We know that we are ready to expand our family and our love beyond just the two of us. (and our cats of course ). That being said, we only live in a co-op apartment and DH works for Citigroup which, if you read the newspaper, is looking to cut jobs. Is there ever an ideal time or the "right" amount of money to have to bring a child into the world? I don't think so....I think it is more important to be ready for a baby emotionally. Somehow the financial aspect of it seems to work itself out.


I agree with PP as for waiting 3 months before seeing a specialist. I would begin by reading the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It taught me so many things about my body that I had always noticed but never actually knew what is was or why things were happening this way each month. Chart your temperature each morning, your cervical mucous and use OPKs to see when you are ovulating. You might not have the "average" cycle, always ovulating on day 14 and getting AF 14 days after that. Plenty of girls on this board have irregular periods, sometimes not getting AF for 40 days. You never know, maybe things haven't been timed right so far.

Thank you so much for your advice, I think I want this more then I realized before and I am just a little overwhelmed and I think I am making it worse by being a daily viewer of LIF- its almost an addiction-lol- Thank you again and Good Luck!!!

I agree with the previous posters.

Get some OPKs and start testing! A lot of women have no clue when they ovulate (like me!) unless they use OPKs. Also, your ovulation date can vary greatly from month to month.

Try that for a few months and then see your doctor!
