I don't mind valentines day, but its not a big deal for us. We go out for a nice dinner. The card is what I want most of all!! For the last few years we don't even exchange gifts- just get something we want for the house (electronics), together. We did the same thing for Hanukah.
I don't need a day to remind me that DH loves me. He shows me and tells me all year round.

I appreciate flowers more when he just brings them to me, just because, than when he feels obligated to buy them. KWIM?
My husband sent me flowers one time and the card read "Just for Being You!" I can't tell you how much I loved that.
Maybe it is just me!
