have you spoken with your Uncle?

If your Mom was anything like mine- she would have wanted you to get her share for you and your brother

My Aunt just told me that my Mom told her to make sure we were taken care of - and I sure you Mom felt the same way

FM me if you need to talk to someone

THank you!
I just wrote my uncle an email about how Im hurt, I have not called him out on this until today. I was hoping that he would come forth with something when I had my child but he has not. He is know to be somewhat of a selfish person. I have finallly found the stregnth to confront him. My mom was supposed to get half and she would not be happy that this took place. My dad has also tried to get thru to no resolve. My uncle keeps saying sorry this is what they wanted. It makes me Chat Icon to think that my grandma really felt this way. In my heart I really feel that my grandparents told my uncle to do the right thing and HE didnt not them becuase I cant bear to think otherwise Chat Icon

good for you for writing to him - please keep us posted Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

and i am certain they prob told him to do the right thing and he hasn't chosen to at this point

In my family inheritance does not skip generations. I don't like it but have to accept this decision that all the elderly people in my family have made.

Re: would you be hurt ?

The right thing would be for your uncle to split with what your mom would have had. Then you and your sibblings (if you have any) would share equally your mom's share.

Your uncle found an easy way out of it and claims that was your grand-parents' wish.

You said that they did rewrite the will after your mom passed away (if I understood correctly!). In such case they did know you would be left out and it was intended. So not really your uncle's fault either.

It would depend on where the money went... If all the other grandchildren (or select grandchildren) got something, I would probably be hurt.

Same here. If they skipped a generation & gave to the great-grandchildren, I wouldn't care.
