Re: MC and morning sickness are they related??
Many people told me that me feeling miserable was a good thing, that the baby was healthy and doing well

M/S also runs in families..... my family has very mild to no cases, and my friends family has HORRIBLE cases lasting until they give birth....
I think m/s is a good sign becuase hormone levels are high, but its absence is NOT a bad sign......
This is so true-absence is not a bad sign. My doc basically said that if you suffer from bad M/S and symptoms just disappear (not gradual but just instantaneously) to call him. For those who never really had bad M/S its not a concern-just consider yourselves lucky you are blessed

Re: MC and morning sickness are they related??
From what I've read, morning sickness is a good thing...but the opposite is not true - ie It isn't a bad thing if you DON'T have it.

I dont think this is true. B/c with my last pregnancy I didnt have bad morning sickness just some nausea and my DS is healthy. I had a great pregnancy last time around.

Re: MC and morning sickness are they related??
My SIL works for an OBGYN and she tells me the doctor loves hearing about women having MS because it does usually mean a healthy baby.

Re: MC and morning sickness are they related??
As someone who had all-day m/s for months and heard that comment a lot...I always took it as something said to make me feel better for feeling like such utter sh!t. I don't buy the correlation.

Re: MC and morning sickness are they related??
I don't believe it at all. I had some very mild nassaeu. To alviate that I would just eat all day small meals and snacks. I never had MC. My mother had 5 kids and never had any MS either.

Re: MC and morning sickness are they related??
I think I had a total of 2 weeks of combined MS for the whole pregnancy.
Almost nothing in the 1st trimester.
DS was healthy and would have go past DD if I did not have a scheduled c-section.

This is such the best explaination I have ever seen--sums it up perfectly. No myths involved.
