every 4/5 days
my hair is thick and highlighted so i can keep it for a long time. and on the 5th day it hardly looks greasy..my friends hate me hahaha

I have oily hair so I have to wash it every day and it never looks dried out. If you have oily hair then it's ok to wash it every day.

I am the exact same as the OP on all counts... I wash every day-- sometimes twice if I need to go out at night and require another shower.

I wash my hair everynight. If I don't, I can get away with one day but I feel disgusting...I usually style my hair at night so that in the AM, I can just brush it & go...

I really try not to wash my hair everyday because I know it's not great to do, but I really can't help it.
A. I don't know how to shower without washing my hair.. I never feel clean if I don't. Are you supposed to wet it but just not shampoo it? Maybe just conditioner which I would think might make it more oily? I'm so clueless
B. My hair feels/looks oily if I go more than 12 hours without washing it.
I figure it takes time for your hair to get used to not being washed everyday without getting oily.. but how long does it actually take?
Also, how do people go to the gym and then not wash their hair? I usually sweat like a freak and HAVE to wash it!
Apparently we are the same person, because I feel the same exact way!!!!!

i wash everyday which i know is horrible, however i use only sulfate free shampoos and conditioners.
the more you wash your hair the more oil that is produced. it is best to wash only a couple times a week if you can deal w/ the greasy period (which i cannot), your scalp will get used to not being washed as often and produce less oils.

I color my hair red so I wash it every 2 days to keep the color. On the second day I use PSST ( reallt AWESOME dry shampoo) at the roots to keep it full.
I highly recommend this stuff!
i bought 2 cans of this but i wasn't that impressed. i found that cornstarch worked a lot better for me.

Every other day. I have coarse hair so I can get away with it. The days that I don't wash it, I just run the flat iron thru it quickly.

I wash my hair every other day unless it really needs it. I just put it up in a bun on top of my head and my hair doesn't get wet.
On the (sadly, rare) days where I go to the gym, I usually do wash the next day no matter which day it is in my hair washing cycle.

I HAVE to wash my hair everyday. If I don't I feel SOOO dirty. I feel that my face is more oily too. The only time I don't wash my hair the next day is when I have it colored or if I'm getting an updo.

I have very oily hair and MUST wash it everyday.
I tried NOT washing it for a few days. It never worked except having discusting hair all day.
I use a regular shampoo with no conditioner (it makes it worst!).

My hair is so long and thick that I couldn't wash it everyday or it will get dried out, I wash it every other day. I just tie it up in a clip and put a towel on my head and take a body shower.

I was everyday. I know, everybody say not to, but my hair is fine and on the oily side, plus, I tend to breakout on the sides of my face. I can probably get away with one day, and by the end of that day, my hair looks wet! Gross.

Same thing happens to me, I need to wash it everyday or I dont feel clean.

EVERY SINGLE DAY. The only way it DOESN'T get washed is if I'm so deathly ill that I can't get out of bed!
Same thing with showering--I never skip a day, even if I'm just going to hang around the house all day.
