I think I *was* pregnant
I felt off ever since I O'd, had a bunch of symptoms, and even told DH for the first time that I thought we nailed it (so to speak ). My temps went really high and I was late by 2 days, but then my temps plummeted and I started bleeding. Very uncomfortable and quite painful, unlike my usual AF.
Even through AF I was still having some symptoms. Started temping again on the last day of AF and ever since my temps have been all over the place - very erratic, which is unusual for me.
Then, the CBEFM asked me to POAS yesterday and two dark lines appeared with a high reading. Today the line was fainter.
This happened about four months ago too - I thought I was preggo, started bleeding, was painful, and I told DH I thought I was having a chemical. Stupid me, I never used an HPT either time to confirm or deny.
So, I think I really do have a problem - I'm wondering if it's an issue of low progesterone because this happened before I conceived Alex. I swore I had a chemical on my honeymoon. Came home, tried again the next month and got pregnant but miscarried just a week later. Went to my ob/gyn who gave me prometrium just in case it was an issue of low progesterone, and low and behold, one week later I was pregnant again and carried it successfully.
I have an appointment with the RE on Thursday - should I discuss this with her, or will she think I'm totally insane?

I am so sorry you are going through this. Since you are already going to see the RE, I would discuss it with her since it is a concern of yours...

Re: I think I *was* pregnant
You are not insane. I had a chemical pregnancy and what you describe is what I had to a T. I had to go on progesterone suppositories when I was pregnant with my DD. Now if I get pregnant again my doctor insists on seeing me for beta bloodwork as soon as I get a positive home test.

Thanks
People (i.e. DH) think I'm crazy and overanalyzing, but I know my body - when I was pregnant with Alex, and with the pregnancy before her, I KNEW within days that I was pregnant, so this time around, I also KNOW when something is off.
I suppose I'll just discuss it with the RE and see where it goes from there.

Re: I think I *was* pregnant
It really does sound like a chemical...I'd definitely discuss it with your RE so she knows to put you on progesterone during your 2ww. Good luck...

Re: I think I *was* pregnant
I think you are right...however if you do not test your Dr will probably not think you were pregnant. So what you're saying is that you've had 4 chemicals? When you see the RE ask for the recurrent pregnancy loss blood panel-this could be easily fixable. GL

No, 3 chemicals. One prior to my miscarriage, and two since I've started TTC this round. I think the doc is going to think I'm a crazy woman who reads too much, but I'll give it a shot anyway and ask for the blood panel. Based on the fact that I had a successful pregnancy on the progesterone, I'm hoping the same will happen this time around.

Re: I think I *was* pregnant
absolutely discuss it. If you had a line you were pregnant. Good Luck. SOunds like it might be a progesterone thing. i hear that it is very easy to fix too.
Good Luck!
and I am sorry that this is all happening to you

I'm sorry you have to deal with this Beth. I hope the RE can give you some answers. Hopefully some progesterone will do the trick again for you.

I don't have any advice - I just wanted to send you some hugs and baby dust. I think you should talk to the RE about it - any little bit helps!
