progesterone suppositories?!?

just wondering if anyone has used these....did they help to raise your progesterone levels? i'm 6w5d, and my doctor just called to say he wants me on them until 10 weeks. of course, i'm freaked out. i never had to use them with my son.....any feedback would be GREATLY appreciated....

I was on them when I was PG the first time aound. I wouldn't worry too much as it helps keep your progesterone levels up during the 1st trimester. If I remember correctly I stopped using them before for 1st Tri was over.

im on them. have been for 2 weeks. im 5 weeks along. they are messy!

Yes and besides being a tad inconvenient they do their job. I came off at 13 weeks

I am also on them and will be until about 10 wks. as well. I am going for bloodwork next week to check my levels, but just recently had a sono, saw the heartbeat & all was well so doc said it was doing it's job. Good luck!

thanks girls...its really nice to know i'm not alone. just spoke with one of my friends who was on them for her first pregnancy...said they aren't the most pleasant, but that it will pay off! heading to pick them up at cvs in a bit.....6w6d today and was told i'd be on them for 10 w...i have to tell you i feel 100% better about going on them knowing that there are other people on them also for the same reason. had a sono on monday also and the hb had gone up to 120 bpm from 105 bpm last week....so i guess something is going well! good luck to all of you!!!!

I was on them my entire 1st trimester.

I am not sure how often you have to use them - but I had to use them every other day.

My advice to you is - do it at night right before bed. Use a pantyliner and try to lay on your back for a couple of minutes.
I did this and it wasn't that messy

I took them for my whole 1st trimester. Not sure if I was even low, but since I had seen a specialist they wanted me to take them. It was no big deal, just a bit icky. Don't worry about it!

I started taking them at 6weeks b/c my progestrone levels were 4.2..I used them until 13 weeks..

I had to use them for the first 12 weeks. I did them at night and my husband did it for me, otherwise I do not think I could have done them. I bought a box of applicators and used ky to make it a bit smoother, regardless though they are awkward
