For this of you with irregular periods...
AF usually arrives every 28 days but for some reason and I'm not sure if this has anything to do with my age but it hasn't been consistent like it used to be. It seems like every other month AF arrives every 30-33 days and in between every 28 days.
As you can see this would make one confused as far as keeping track of O.
So, now for the stupid question...should I go according to my average cycle of 28 days when TTC or the time from when AF's previous visit to the last which is the proper way I am thinking I should go by.
Any thoughts or comments?
TIA

Use an OPK and start testing based upon your shortest cycle length. This way you won't be guessing when you O, you will know for sure!

Re: For this of you with irregular periods...
For my first pregnancy I simply went with the BD every other day approach. My second pregnancy I didn't have the same energy level and used the CBEFM to make sure I didn't miss the ovulation day out of exhaustion from chasing around my toddler. I wouldn't try to guess if your cycle is irregular -- either BD every other day (much more fun) or use OPKs (efficient but can be stressful).
GOOD LUCK!!!

I think I may just go with your first suggestion which is what we've been doing so far this week!
Thanks so much
