For those that went off the pill

Hello Everyone!

I'm a regular poster, but we are keeping the whole TTC thing under wraps for now...

Anyway, after you went off the pill, how long did it take for AF to arrive? Was it a normal cycle? OR did it take a bit longer?

My cycles were pretty normal immediately. I think AF came about 30 days after I went off the pill.

I went off the pill at the end of May. AF arrived on June 1st. I am on CD 36 and no sign of her yet. It is my first month off so I expected it to be wacky, but now I am getting a little concerned.

My first cycle off the pill was on time and the second one (which was this week) came 36 days later, rather than 28

34 days that dwindled quickly to 28 days and stayed there for many months. Though my last cycle was 27.

OK, so it might be normal to be late... Im about 2 weeks late and Im starting to freak a bit... the sticks that Im peeing on keep saying negative, but it is still driving me nuts because AF still isn't coming!

I think it's totally normal for your cycles to be a little screwy in the beginning. Everyone is different. This is my first cycle off BCP and I just ovulated on Day 25 so AF won't be here for a while still. Before BCP, my cycle was 28-30 days.

First time AF came after being on the pill, she came at Day 27...My second time around, I was at CD35....This month is still to be determined..I am on CD 21

First time I got AF at 20 days, then the next month AF went up tp 25 days then 28.

My first cycle off the pill was exactly 28 days. It then has gotten shorter over time - like 26, 27 days. I think your cycle can absolutely be off for the first few months, don't worry!

Everyone is different. I think it depends entirely on how old you are when you come off the pill because over time your natural cycle changes.

For example - I started the pill b/c my cycles varied in length from 15 days to 42 days. When I came off the pill (some 15 years later), my first real cycle was 24 days, and each and every cycle after that until I got PG was 28 days. Never in my life had I had two cycles in a row that were the same length!!

Mine were on track (29 days) for like 4 months...then it got later and later, then it was 41 days long for about 6 months and recently one cycle is 34 one cycle 41 last cycle 30 days.

Dr. thinks I might have PCOS...

it took me 3 cycles to be normal, the first two, i don't remember how long but they were practically nonexistant, the 3rd one was 37 days and regular flow.

mine were pretty irregular when i first went off......i think i went something like 55 days, but after 6 months it regulated to about 28-32 days

I just got off the patch last month. AF appeared after 37 days.

I got my period irregularly for 4 months, then nothing at all for 9 months! So, I knew I was ovulating about 15 months after I went off BCP.

I went right back to normal and got my period the next month but my sil went off it last month and still hasn't gotten it.

AF came about 24 days after I went off the pill, I was pretty normal from the time I went off the pill.
