tv ? for pill
Pill...I know you know ur stuff.... dh is going to put our new lcd on the wall this wknd in the living room... where would you locate the cable box and dvd etc... i wanted it away... but dh says we'll need a longer HD something (4get the name) cable, best is to get max 6ft.... but if we go longer it would imperfect the beautiful picture... any solutions?
sorry to bug ya....
anyone else with ideas please chime in

hd connection requires either vga, componant cables, or HDMI cables. they come in many lenghts. so depending how its hooked up, thats what you need.
a good place to buy is monoprice.com
all of our stuff is ran though the walls and placed on console/furnature underneath the tv
we did this both in living room - plasma and bedroom - lcd

You can get longer cables. It won't impact the picture. But I wouldn't get longer than 13-15 feet.
This is a good place to buy cables. Monster quality cables... for a fraction of the price.

I wouldn't.
If you call RAM... ask them and they could give you a better answer. I like ordering from RAM cause they are based in NJ. I pay no sales tax... and orders come QUICK. Usually next day since its UPS ground from NJ.

ok thanks.....only reason we need it so long is dh is shooting all the wires across the room but via the attic...should make for an interesting wknd...
