Please, please, please go to the dentist. I was an idiot and held things off until it was too late. My dentist was trying all she could to save me from a root canal until I gave birth. Today, I went in for an emergency root canal. Not pleasant when you can't take most medications.

I will second this. I have 3 temporary bonds while awaiting getting some Root Canals done. It was very painful to get without the proper meds AND now I will have to get the bonding materials removed in order to do the root canals.

Thank you...I think I needed to hear that. I have MAJOR dental work that I've been putting off because...well...because I just don't want to have it done! But I know that I really NEED to do it. Thanks for sharing!

So sorry you had to go through that! I've heard that pregnancy can make teeth more sensitive or worse.

I've already gotten the clear from the dentist, but great advice!!

I just got back from my root canal. I wanted to postpone it but decide not to since I want to get pregnant over the summer I heard that your teeth become sensitive while pregnant. So I did it while I can still take meds!! Great advice!

I posponned removing a wisdom tooth. I had a toothache for 3 days only to found that I had a cavity with the tooth next to it.

Best of all, I was TTC. I did not do any x-ray and held off on the antibiotic until I took a HPT the next day. Well, I was PG. Dentist told me she did not want to touch the tooth in the 1st trimester until 2nd trimester. Well, OB told me to keep "hanging on" if I could.

I have not been able to eat on that side for 8 months now. I avoid too hot or cold.

They told me to hang on as long as possible so they would not have to remove it while PG unless it was an "EMERGENCY".

So... take care of your teeth!!!!!
