Where's everyone registering and why?
I know there's been posts about this before, but I can't seem to find them.
Just wondering where you're registering and why?
Are there differences between BBB and BRU?
Tell me your thoughts!!

Re: Where's everyone registering and why?
i'm crashing here... again...
my SIL registered at BRU and it was somewhat horrible. EVERY DAY stuff online became unavailable so i was constantly on her registry making changes. So if you don't mind knowing exactly when the shower is (although who am i kidding... you're so going to peak!).
The problem with this happening is that she got various pieces from different sets. The stroller didn't match the car seat or pack n play, etc. It was a PITA!

This is what I've heard. My sister said to just go with BBB. She thinks it's much better and to only stick with one place.

Re: Where's everyone registering and why?
I registered at both BBB and BRU. As far as the BRU's website saying things aren't available, it usally just means online and you can get things in store no problem. So, if most people will be buying things in store, that won't be an issue. However I was very upset with the treatment I received at BRU when I tried returning things and management made up restocking fees so I wouldn't be able to get the full amount back. I had to call all over to their corporate offices to get an answer and they admitted there was no such thing as a restocking fee and they appologized and ultimately fixed the problem.
BBB has nicer things, however I had HUGE issues trying to register for bedding, and several other people I know had the same problems. They discontinue things like every other month, so you have to keep changing what you had registered for. I liked the stroller selection at BBB, more upscale stuff!
I would register at both. They're really the only places around for baby registries, besides Target.

I will say that my SIL registered at Target and had no problems whats so ever. Plus it's close to us so that was another reason behind it.

Re: Where's everyone registering and why?
I just registered on Monday at BRU. It's more conveniently located for my mom's friends (who will make up the majority of the shower guests) and friends of mine with kids told me they had good experiences there.

Re: Where's everyone registering and why?
I registered only at BRU. We felt that the stroller/car seat selctions were better for the types of things we were looking for (we wanted a travel system and BBB only had 1. If you want a Britax, then definitely go to BBB--much biiger selection). We also thought they were overpriced. There are also more BRU stores to make shopping for our friends easier, especially when we had a lot of out of stated people. We looked at Target also and felt they didn't have as big of a selection.

Re: Where's everyone registering and why?
BRU for everything - more people like bru better than BBB- too expensive
Walmart for furniture - same as BRU just cheaper :)

Re: Where's everyone registering and why?
I just had my little girl and I have to tell you in terms of getting doubles and having to return things BRU is right here for us. There is only 2 BBB that I know of and if I had to hike out there with a screaming baby...Id go nuts! Aside from that BRU is closest to most gift givers as well. The furniture though...I recommend BBB and Behrs. BRU took forever to get the item first delivered to the warehouse so i cancelled it out and bought from BBB. Hope I helped some!

Re: Where's everyone registering and why?
We registered at BBB and Pottery Barn Kids. BBB for the majority of things and Pottery Barn Kids for mainly bedding, a carpet and some toys.
I don't think you can go wrong with BRU or BBB. It's really a matter of preference as well as how far you are from each. I have a BRU and BBB about 10 minutes from me.
I personally liked the selection better at BBB over BRU.
I really liked the bedding at Pottery Barn Kids. Another nice perk of Pottery Barn Kids is that you get 10% off when you close out your registry. Oh, and they have some great sales.

Re: Where's everyone registering and why?
I'll probably register at BRU again because I like their selection, but last time there were a lot of probalems with them not taking stuff off the registery list. So I got a lot of doubles.
