Summer Camp costs
I'm sending my son to a camp that's 8 weeks long, and I'm paying around $4,200 for the summer. I'm not sure if transportation is included b/c I don't need it. Lunch is included as are all the activities (they swim twice a day, music, sports, cooking, special guests, etc). There are "off campus" activities (Adventureland, fishing, Laser Bounce), but I'm not sure if we have to pay extra since my son wasn't old enough to join those groups last year.

Re: Summer Camp costs
My son attends a town camp. We pay $1600 for the summer. It's a total of 8 weeks from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Transportation is not included. We have to send him in with lunch and snack each day. But it includes all activities, special theme days, swimming for several hours in the afternoons, and several trips (bowling, Medieval times, movies, water parks).

Re: Summer Camp costs
I think you are in the city too right?
I use a UAU camp, it is $700 for the entire summer (Tuesday after 7/4 through the second week in August) from 9am-6pm. There is an option from 9am-3pm for $500 (or $550 I think)
It is not fancy, but my son likes it. They have fun "activity" days too

Summer Camp costs
I'm in the city. She's only going for 5 weeks, so it's $2300. It's cheaper the more weeks you add. So, for the full 8 weeks, it's $3000. Hours: 8-4. Door to Door Bus included. Swimming 3 times a week and 2 trips a week (adventureland, bounce places, dave and busters, zoos, farms, etc.) Meals included 3 times a week (you need to send bag lunch for trips) They separate boys & girls. Girls do gymnastics & dance (at separate studios). Boys do more specialized sports, but everyone does sports. Arts & crafts director brings in things like puppet shows, magician, etc. We were going to do the Y, which was cheaper ($550 per two weeks), but you had to arrange your own bus transporation and I had a hard time doing that. Plus they take kids on the subways for trips, and at 6, I wasn't comfortable with that (even though my daughter is a very experienced subway rider)

Re: Summer Camp costs
My oldest DS (5) is going to camp this summer, I am in Nassau.
He is going for 6 weeks, I am paying $6575. It is 5 days a week 9-4. Transportation is included, the bus will pick him up around 8:30 and drop him off around 4:30. No off campus trips at this camp until the kids are entering 3rd grade, but everything is included. Hot lunch, towels, swim lessons, special visitors once a week, the bus, afternoon ice pop snack, camp t shirt, camp backpack, and the camp also has a no tip policy. They give the staff bonuses based on their performance at the end of the summer.

Re: Summer Camp costs
$1500. 8 weeks of camp. I drop off at 7 am. I pick them up at 4:30. No bus service. Lunch and snacks are included. All trips are included. Swimming every day. And lessons. Bowling every Friday. Rope courses. Hiking. You name it. Arts and crafts. Reading. Free time. The camp puts on a play, they can be in it or not. Its a great camp. But, I'm in west Milford NJ. They do offer 8 weeks of sleep away camp. Same exact price. $1500.

Re: Summer Camp costs
my son will be going to the bright horizons that is on campus at my job. its camp for 6-12 yrs old;
10 weeks of summer, but we are going for 9. its $283 a week + $20 weekly activity fee so thats $303 a week; it includes breakfast, snacks, lunch. I dont think they provide bus transportation b/c its basically a daycare that the majority of kids have parents that work in the building.

Re: Summer Camp costs
I am still deciding between sending her to one or two.
choices are $950 8:30am-5:30pm for 6 weeks, outdoors all day, swimming activities all on premises. I drop off and pick up and must provide all lunch, drinks, and snacks.
or from 7:30-6:00p, for base $200 a week. filed trips are I think about $20 extra week and I have option of buy lunch for 4 days at $5 a day. I have to provide lunch one day a week I drop off and pick up.
