If you cracked the screen of your iphone & had it repaired, where did you go and most importantly - what was the cost?

ah man...guess I won't be getting it fixed!
I saw some of those pop up shops that do it. I wonder if that is cheaper. It's just a long, thin crack...i can live with it - i think it's mostly just surface & not deep..it just bugs me.

$75 at a store on merrick road. They did it while I waited.

IPhone 5s at the i fix it store. They are all over now. I think including a screen protector it was $90

I'd recommend checking your credit card (if you have one) "benefits" as I know Wells Fargo's credit cards offer cell phone protection if you pay your bill with the card . My friend told me he took advantage of the benefit and it was pretty easy, he got the phone repaired and they reimbursed him. He said there was a form or two but it was pretty easy! It's a little known benefit to the Wells credit cards, it may exist for others as well, and it's worth checking out!

DH did it himself for $50 - bought a kit off Amazon.
Check Groupon for deals.

Just be careful with a repair shop other than Apple. My brother got his fixed at one of them and it invalidated the warranty. Apple can figure it out very quickly if you went somewhere other than them.

I'm wondering about this exactly! My old 5S is worth $200 if I do the buy back but I need to get a crack fixed first. Debating if it was worth it but if I can't get my $200, definitely not worth it.
