Where do you change DCs diapers? When DS was born we were able to use the changing station on the pack n play but now he is too long for it. He's a baby that does NOT like being in a dirty diaper so we change him constantly. It's been fine for me to run him upstairs but when I go back to work my mother will be watching him here and it's too much for her to run up all the time..esp as he gets heavier. I'm thinking about buying a small changing table but I really don't have room for it...so that's a last resort. Changing on the floor isn't a great option either because we have a dog that is a nuisance and tries to steal the diapers etc lol. What a predicament! What do you ladies do??

do you have a bathroom/half bath on the first floor? just buy one of those SKip Hop changing pads and keep it in there, stocked with a couple diapers and wipes and just change him on the floor in there. that way you can close the door so the dog doesn't get in the way.

Just saw the thing about the dog. We have baby gates in our den now that she goes everywhere. Maybe you can do that and it would keep the dog out. You may do that eventually anyway for baby proofing

My mom watches DD at her house. She didn't want a changing table.

So I bought an extra changing pad mattress along with a carry all box for diapers, wipes, cream etc...and she just puts it all on the dining room table for the day. When DD leaves she stores it in the closet.

Yes we definitely need to invest in a good gate - once DS is more mobile I'll want to keep them separate at times. That said, I'm thinking...my mother might not be comfortable getting down on the floor each time either. I'll have her come over and do a test run to see how it goes.

We had a large ottoman I always used or even the couch with a towel under them, I like the dining room table idea

It's ironic that I just took my dining table measurement and was going on Monday to order a glass top for it (it's wood and I'm tired of hiding the nice design with table cloths all the time. I guess that plan it out! Haha

Can you just change munchkin on the pack and play? I mean out a towel down or a mat or something?

On the couch.
I also change on the floor and we have a small dog. He's grown used to it and does not try to steal the diapers. Dog would much rather luck DS' face

Couch. And we have a one story. I just change her wherever she is but we keep a diaper caddy in the den.
