Has anyone ever done any of their programs? I was looking at the 1 day "Discovery Days". They last from 10-12. What else is there to do at the hatchery with a one year old, since I'd have to wait around with my DD while my DS did the program. I've never been there. Thanks!

There is an aquarium (rather 2 aquariums) & trout feeding.
Maybe an hour worth with a 1 year old.
You can always go to the town of cold spring if it is a drop off program with your little one.

It's a cute place, but it's nothing huge. Their aquariums are small, and the walk around with the fish is small as well. You can purchase fish food and feed the fish at the hatchery , which is sort of fun because they jump up at the top of the water. They have a lake at the top near the church (there are cement steps going up) that you can go look at the ducks. But that's really it.

I've been thinking of taking DS there this summer at some point as well. I think you'll probably be able to spend two hours there with your DD. Not sure if you'd be able to get any more than that tho. Bring lunch and have a picnic!

We just went this week. I have a 4 and 5 year old. We got the Library Museum passes, so we didn't have to pay the $16 entrance fee.

They have Water Wednesdays, with some sprinklers, water tables, and bubbles on the lawn.

We brought lunch. We were there for about an hour and a half.
