Coxsackie question
My 2yo had a high fever for 2 days and then yesterday, woke up and fever was gone but he had red spots on his hands, wrists, lower abdomen, and diaper area. I suspected coxsackie so I took him to the doc and he confirmed it, also noting one sore on his throat. Today, he woke up and the spots are much lighter and much less. My 4yo had it a couple years ago and I remember by like the 2nd day of spots, they were spreading and blowing up into blisters. So that's what I was bracing for thia time, but it looks so much better today. Could it be that the worst is over already? Or has anyone has experience like this where they get lighter before getting worse?

When my DD had it, she must have had a mild case because she barely had any blisters on her hands and feet and the ones in her throat were tiny and barely caused her much discomfort.
I think it's possible to get a mild case.
I hope that's the case for your LO!

DS had it and also had a mild case. Still was contagious so couldn't go to daycare for a week, but blisters never spread beyond his hands and feet.

Each person is different. DD had it and it was only in her throat.

My DD also had a mild case--spots on her hands and feet along with a fever...but nothing in her mouth which was a HUGE blessing.
It is totally possible he has a mild case. Hope he feels better!!

I've seen different variations of the illness in both boys from severe to mild. Hoping you have the mild case. DS1 had a bad case around 9 - 10 months from daycare. He had it again at 15 months when we were in the middle of moving and just at our new house... no doctor yet (that was fun).
DS2 had a really bad case once and then DS1 must've caught it or a little something from his brother that literally lasted a day.
Just hoping to keep it out of my house this summer (knock on wood... or bricks in this case LOL).

DS is just getting over his - I would call it severe, sores down his throat - he didn't eat or drink for 4 days. Sounds like you lucked out, thank god!!

Coxsackie question
DD had it twice. First time she was very sick, no spots on body, but her mouth had several. She had a high fever and was pretty miserable for a good week, wasn't eating much. The last time, it was milder and she was just cranky from the fever.
