Who gets your DC an Easter basket?
For me growing up, the Easter bunny (my parents) was the only one who left me a basket. my grandparents might've given me some candy or chocolate or something but no basket.
DS is only 5 months old so I'll prob just put together a little basket for our little family, just because I like tradition. But now my SIL says that she's getting him one and my in laws are getting him one and I think it's a little excessive. A) he's so young still and B) I don't think Easter is a gift-giving holiday.
So does your DC get a basket from everyone in the family or just you?

Who gets your DC an Easter basket?
Growing up I only got one from the Easter Bunny as well. DH's family gives all children baskets. So she gets one from inlaws and aunts & uncles. I also think it's a lot and I always wind up throwing out the baskets because I do not have use for 5 different Easter Baskets. My MIL also gets Valentines Gifts, St Paddys Day gifts, Halloween Gifts, and any other non-gift holiday that I am forgetting. It is what it is, I pick my battles.

Re: Who gets your DC an Easter basket?
I used to get Easter baskets only from cousins. My kids will get one from aunt, one set if grandparents & us. Our basket has finger paints, water colors & bubbles. Grandma basket has books, clothes.
So, point is, we get $25 worth of stuff that would be bought anyway. No candy.

Re: Who gets your DC an Easter basket?
Whoever wants to. Gotta love commercial holidays...
If someone wants to make my 8 month old DD an Easter basket I am happy to receive it. She is already getting 2 that I know of.
I have 1 nephew (2 months old) and he is getting at least 3 Easter baskets. One will be coming from DH, DD, and myself. All things I think he will use. Beach wrap, board book, and rattle.

Who gets your DC an Easter basket?
Everyone except for DH and me. She gets so many things from family members that I don't even bother. I agree that Easter isn't a gift-giving holiday so we don't see the need to add to the craziness.

Who gets your DC an Easter basket?
I got him one last year and this year. His grandparents also got him Easter presents- but I attribute that to him being the first grandchild and being spoiled!

Honestly, it would be easier to list who wasn't going to get her presents for Easter. We will most likely be giving her the only basket but that is only b/c both sets of grandparents got her way too much to fit inside a basket and have been giving her things all week. Not to mention all the things she will most likely get from her aunts and uncles. I agree that it is excessive. But she is also the only baby on both sides and people really enjoy giving her things. I made sure her grandparents know not to get her candy but other than that I let it go.

Last year he got a few small things from our parents and SIL but we are the only ones who gave him an actual easter basket.

Re: Who gets your DC an Easter basket?
Too many people!
We give each dc a basket, my mother, my FIL, my sister, SIL, my aunt's and uncles- there are 3 , 2 of my cousins and each of my 3 BIL's
The amount of candy and gifts they received last year was insane! It was like Christmas!

Who gets your DC an Easter basket?
My DD will be six weeks old and so far I know she will be getting three Easter baskets-all with practical things. My family loves giving gifts. I also buy small gifts for my nieces- usually books.

Re: Who gets your DC an Easter basket?
Everyone, it seems...
They each get one from the Easter Bunny at home (no candy in basket, we do a theme each year, this year is outside toys/games, candy in plastic eggs only)
Then they each get one from each set of grandparents (2 each) and from 3 of their great grandmas (3 more each) and then from their aunt, uncle, and cousin...so 7 total...too many, but what can you do! I send the baskets home with the basket givers each year now because honestly, how many easter baskets can you collect in your basement???

Who gets your DC an Easter basket?
Eggs were always left by the Easter bunny.
Baskets were from parents, god parents and anyone else that felt like loading me up with chocolates.
I'll be doing the same with DS.

Re: Who gets your DC an Easter basket?
The Easter Bunny always leaves a big basket with toys and candy.
When I was a kid we also got baskets or gifts from the rest of my family on Easter. Sometimes it was just a chocolate bunny or a small toy but my Grandparents always got me, my sibs and cousins another filled Easter basket.
Now that I'm grown and have children of my own the same tradition continues.

The basket only comes from the Easter Bunny. She does get gifts from almost every other person she sees though for the holiday lol. There is only one basket.

Re: Who gets your DC an Easter basket?
I got ds an easter basket. I don't know if anyone else did but I am sure his grandparents and aunts/uncles will give him something maybe not in a basket. I'm not gonna argue with people if they want to give my ds a gift.

Re: Who gets your DC an Easter basket?
Growing up I only got an Easter basket from the "Easter bunny" and not anyone else. One grandparent lived out of the country and the other was a diff religion.
Now that I have children, they get an Easter basket from the Easter bunny (us), my parents, their other grandmother, sometimes a godmother. Only ours is from the bunny. The more baskets the merrier, it's just fun. (DS1 is 4, DS2 is 7 mos) As they get older I'm sure the number of baskets will decrease.

We give my DD a basket but it's from the Easter bunny. The past 2 years, my Mil has given her a basket too, but she takes the basket back with her to use the following year lol. DD gets gifts from my parents and her godparents too, but not in a basket.

Re: Who gets your DC an Easter basket?
When I was a kid we had to leave our baskets out for the bunny to fill with goodies. ( I did this through college as he would leave cash as we got older lol ) We maybe got little books , toys, easter things candy from others , but no basket involved.
Now as the aunt who buys too much I just got my niece and nephew a few little things, no basket.

The bunny is the only one who delivers an actual basket (well, buckets instead of baskets - I figure the bunny should bring something they will actually use since things tend to be misplaced year over year....) They get presents from my parents, ILs, and aunts as well (little things).
Their Easter Bucket is pretty small - a little candy, Annie's bunny fruit snacks, Annie's cheddar bunnies and a $10 gift (DS 1 is getting some small Transformers, DS 2 is getting a Little People Easter book).

Re: Who gets your DC an Easter basket?
Last year was DD's first Easter and she also got baskets from both my sisters. It was too much! Of course I appreciate their excitement, but sometimes less is more. Growing up I got one basket on Easter morning and it was super special to me.
I'm hoping this Easter she just gets her one basket from "the Easter bunny" and that's it. I don't want her growing up to equate holidays only with gifts.
