Kinds SPINOFF: Anyone not give their kids an Easter Basket?
I never got one growng up and it never phased me at all. Just curious.

Yeah I never really got one growing up - I mean here and there through the years I received a few but nothing annually. Athan was a few weeks old like Easter so he didn't get one and I really don't think I will get him one this year either. Maybe when he gets older? I don't know. Not a big deal to me. Plus Greek Easter is always a week or 2 after what I call the "other" Easter so maybe that's why it's no big deal to me? All the candy is already gone

how did that work? in school doesnt the teacher say to the kids the easter bunny is coming just like santa(for the christian religions that participate)

Not at my school - I went to Greek-American parochial school so there was no Easter bunny talk at all. It was all very religious. I guess Greeks don't do bunnies

He didn't get one last year, my parents got him a wagon full of beach stuff tho
I'm doing it this year, I figure it is fun for him.

We didn't get DD one last year (she was 4 months), but when we arrived for dinner at my mother's she had one for her (actually, the stuffed bunny was for DD and the candy was for me!  ). I did get her picture taken with the Easter Bunny at the mall though.

The schools have changed sooo much now. For the usual christmas party i put together for my DD's class it was called a "winter party" we were not allowed to do anything santa, christmas related. Since everybody celebrates different holidays now the schools now have winter and spring parties. no more christmas and easter. Unless you go to a private school that is a certain religion.
