How Old for a motorized toy car?
My bil has wanted to get our little guy one o f these things since he turned 1. I told him I'd let him buy it when little guy turns 5. Now he's bugging me about getting one for Christmas. I think he's still too young at two and a half
What do you guys think?

DS got one for his first birthday. It's a yellow sports car. It's cool for him because it can either be driven by him or by an adult with a remote control.

Re: How Old for a motorized toy car?
I got my girls one for Christmas 3 years ago when they were 2 and 3 years old. My now 1 year old(20 months old) loves it. Not too young at all. My 6 year old is starting to get bored of it.

Re: How Old for a motorized toy car?
My oldest got his at 2 & it took him about 6 mont hs to learn how to drive it otherwise he was constantly crashing. My youngest started driving the one we had at 1.5 & loved it but just crashed all the time.
Now at 3&2, we are getting them a dual seater jeep.for Christmas

Re: How Old for a motorized toy car?
DS got the tot rod at 1 its great BC it doest go too fast! It has a parent bar that is removable that also has a button to use the motorized function.
As for a true power wheels I think 3-3.5 at minimum. I have been at play dates where younger kids actually ran over other kids. My 4yo hurt himself this summer when he crashed and gave himself a bloody lip. They really can be dangerous if the kids don't understand how to steer, stop etc.

Re: How Old for a motorized toy car?
got one when 8 months. I was like started driving it occasionally around 1 year, preferred to push the button that made noise. around 15 months started driving it a little more often. think 2 years is a good age
